Call for Papers

WWRF invites researchers and industrial representatives to the WWRF 42 meeting to share information and present their views on the theme “The 5G dream becomes real - will it keep its promises?” The 42nd Meeting will be held in conjunction with WWRF’s premiere event, the 6th 5G Huddle. Over the past couple of years 5G has been in the headlines globally for many conferences, new projects and naturally also as element in industrial strategies, visions and specific implementation plans. This has raised the expectations of what 5G will deliver. Time has come for 5G, so will it deliver the promises that have been made?

WWRF 42nd

Technical papers describing recent research results and 5G proof of concepts are solicited to determine if the 5G dream will become true. The best papers will be reviewed and provided for publication in a special issue of IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine.

The meeting will also feature invited special sessions on hot topics such as “Beyond 5G Leading to 6G”. This meeting will mark the launch of a new working group on “Future Business Models” supported and enabled by 5G and Beyond wireless technologies. Contributions on this subject are encouraged, as are those covering any theoretical, technical or business subject related to the Wireless World.

Contributions that are accepted for the meeting will be published on the WWRF website (, and the best papers are earmarked to form part of a WWRF Outlook (a series of White Papers) or be incorporated into new volumes of the WWRF Book Series.
